A. Eberle GmbH & Co. KG announces the release of the EOR-1DS, a compact, combined short-circuit and earth fault location indicator that offers all essential location methods. The device was specially developed as a cost-effective alternative to comparable solutions on the market. The device can be used as a non-directional short-circuit and earth fault indicator (pulse location) with the supplied Rogowski phase current sensors of type SR55 or as a directional short-circuit and earth fault indicator (pulse location + qu2 wiper) with current and voltage measurement. High-precision measurements can be carried out with modern small signal sensors and transmitted via Modbus RTU. The device is particularly important in times of energy transition in order to create grid transparency and to cope with changing conditions in power grids.
Based on decades of expertise in grid fault detection, the EOR-1DS combines intelligent algorithms with advanced signal processing at a very competitive price.
Key Features:
- Cost-efficient combined short-circuit and earth fault indicator
- Offers all the essential fault location methods
- Simple parameterisation, also possible without software
- Large memory (32 GB) for fault records and logbook
“With the EOR-1DS, we provide our customers with an effective and cost-effective tool to prevent outages, reduce response time, and ensure safety in medium-voltage networks,” says Gerald Jacob (product manager »EORSys« at A. Eberle GmbH & Co. KG).
The EOR-1DS is already in use across several pilot projects and will be showcased at leading industry exhibitions in 2025, like CIRED 2025 in Geneva at stand B6.
