R&B Switchgear Services is Awarded the Okken Licence by Schneider Electric

R&B

R&B Switchgear Services has been awarded the exclusive Okken licence by global energy management specialist, Schneider Electric.

R&B is one of just three Schneider partners in the UK to have been awarded the licence, enabling them to manufacture bespoke equipment for sites running critical processes.

One of the industry’s most comprehensively type-tested switchboards, the Okken LV switchboard incorporates the best safety and protection systems, guaranteeing a safer operation and reduced maintenance costs.

The new licence will allow R&B to double the amount of work they do in the nuclear sector and power sectors, leading to a 20% increase in turnover.

Speaking of the license, managing director, Mark Beswick, said: "The achievement of receiving this licence is testament to the unwavering dedication of the entire team and our technical expertise.

"The Okken system is at the cutting edge of technology and will enable us to expand our portfolio of services and branch out into new sectors.

"In a market dominated by large multi-national organisations, it’s imperative that we’re able to incorporate the latest technological developments into the design of our products.

As a leading manufacturer of both AC and DC switchgear, R&B offers a comprehensive worldwide service for the maintenance of switchgear, circuit breakers and all ancillary equipment.

Each Okken partner is selected by Schneider for their expertise within the industry and ability to deliver superior quality products.

R&B Switchgear operates across the marine, offshore, power and industrial sectors. With a wide range of expertise, the company boasts a portfolio of blue-chip customers including Shell, BP, P&O, MOL and Talisman.
