The industry’s overall hiring increased by 6.36% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 13.61% share in August 2021, recording an increase of 0.21% over the last three-month average share.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 16.67% share, a decrease of 11.11% over the previous month.

Top five power companies in Australia’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 11.54% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s power industry during August 2021 over July 2021.

CLP Holdings posted 12 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a rise of 9.09% over the previous month, followed by Siemens with 6 jobs and a 14.29% drop. Snowy Hydro with 4 IT jobs and AGL Energy with 4 jobs, recorded a 300% flat growth and a 20% decrease, respectively, while CitiPower and Powercor recorded an increase of 50% with 3 job postings during August 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.92%, up by 6.06% from July 2021. Entry Level positions with a 16.67% share, registered a decline of 33.33% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 10.42% share, up 150% over July 2021.
