
Brazil power industry registered a 11.0% decline in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 15.89% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.
Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 16.74% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 1.11% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Brazil power industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Brazil power industry in July 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 38.94% in July 2021, a 24.84% drop over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 26.07% share, decline of 20.2% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 18.15%, registering a 27.63% decline from June 2021.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 12.21%, down 17.78% over the previous month.
Top five power companies in Brazil IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 23.33% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Brazil power industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
Companhia de Transmissao de Energia Eletrica Paulista posted 282 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a drop of 17.78% over the previous month, followed by Energisa with 8 jobs and a 66.67% drop. Iberdrola with 7 IT jobs and Luz Del Sur SAA with 1 jobs, recorded a 50% drop and an 88.89% decline, respectively, while Gates Industrial Corp recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 84.16%, down by 20.31% from June 2021. Entry Level positions with a 9.9% share, a decline of 41.18% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 5.94% share, down 28% over June 2021.
