The industry’s overall hiring a decreased by 7.91% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 14.94% share in August 2021, recording a decrease of 2.04% over the last three-month average share.

Top five power companies in Brazil’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 31.78% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Brazil’s power industry during August 2021 over July 2021.
Companhia de Transmissao de Energia Eletrica Paulista posted 180 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a drop of 39.6% over the previous month, followed by Energisa with 21 jobs and a 23.53% growth. Enel with 12 IT jobs and Iberdrola with 5 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 16.67% decrease, respectively, while Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 74.09%, down by 40.73% from July 2021. Entry Level positions with a 17.27% share, registered an increase of 15.15% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 8.64% share, up 5.56% over July 2021.
