Notably, nuclear was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q2 2023, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of low cost evolution and autonomous vehicles, according to GlobalData.
Of the top leading companies in the power industry, Xcel Energy had the greatest increase in references for nuclear in Q2 2023, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 50 nuclear-related sentences in the company's filings - 2% of all sentences - and an increase of 2% in Q2 2023 compared with Q2 2022. Public Service Enterprise Group’s mentions of nuclear dropped by 39% to 44 and Enel’s by 34% to 43 and Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras’s by 60% to 22 and Exelon’s by 57% to 22.
