Germany power industry IT recruitment activity rises 17.9% in July 2021

Germany power industry registered a 17.9% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 10.33% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 7.96% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 0.4% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany power industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.52% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany power industry in July 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 47.93% in July 2021, a 10.77% drop over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed an 18.18% share, an increase of 22.22% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 14.05%, registering an 88.89% rise from June 2021.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 10.74%, up 62.5% over the previous month.

Top five power companies in Germany IT recruitment activity in July 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 11.49% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany power industry during July 2021 over June 2021.

Siemens posted 43 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a drop of 25.86% over the previous month, followed by Nordex with 17 jobs and a 6.25% growth. EnBW Energie Baden-Wurttemberg with 14 IT jobs and E.ON with 12 jobs, recorded a 250% growth and a 33.33% increase, respectively, while Companhia de Transmissao de Energia Eletrica Paulista recorded a flat growth with 11 job postings during July 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.07%, up by 53.57% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.18% share, a decline of 31.25% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.09% share, down 35.29% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.65%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
