India power industry registered a 14.6% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 14.94% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.
Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 37.86% share in July 2021, recording decrease of 0.39% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India power industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.56% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India power industry in July 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 81.33% in July 2021, a 33.58% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 8% share, an increase of 157.14% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 7.11%, registering a 38.46% decline from June 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 1.78%, down 33.33% over the previous month.
Top five power companies in India IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 38.52% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India power industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
Siemens posted 142 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a rise of 30.28% over the previous month, followed by Schneider Electric with 24 jobs and a 26.32% growth. Adani Transmission with 7 IT jobs and Enphase Energy with 7 jobs, recorded a 250% growth and a 40% increase, respectively, while Adani Green Energy recorded a flat growth with 7 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 48.89%, up by 5.77% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 45.33% share, a growth of 37.84% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.78% share, up 62.5% over June 2021.
