Italy power industry registered a 0.8% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.

The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 0.21% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 13.6% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 1.11% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Italy power industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.55% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Italy power industry in July 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 62.32% in July 2021, a 69.29% drop over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 13.04% share, decline of 55% over the previous month.

3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 10.14%, registering a 63.16% decline from June 2021.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 7.25%, down 75% over the previous month.

Top five power companies in Italy IT recruitment activity in July 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 74.31% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Italy power industry during July 2021 over June 2021.

Luz Del Sur SAA posted 30 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a drop of 85.51% over the previous month, followed by Enel with 11 jobs and a flat growth. Schneider Power with 7 IT jobs and Companhia de Transmissao de Energia Eletrica Paulista with 4 jobs, recorded a 12.5% drop and a 100% increase, respectively, while A2A recorded a 300% increase with 4 job postings during July 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.26%, down by 73% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 13.04% share, a flat growth compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Senior job ads with 4.35% share, flat growth over June 2021, while Entry Level postings accounted for 4.35%, recording a month-on-month decline of 80%.
