Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Installation, Maintenance, and Repair Occupations, which accounted for 11% of the total new job postings in Q4 2023 and were down by 44% year-on-year. Second highest were Management Occupations, which accounted for 10% and drop by 49% year-on-year, and third highest were Architecture and Engineering Occupations, which were 17% of the new job postings and 51% lower year-on-year.
Top five companies in power industry accounted for 22% of hiring activity
The highest number of jobs were posted by Republic Services with 1,908, followed by Constellation Energy with 1,376, while the highest increase was at Duquesne Light at 49%.
