June 2021 has seen an increase of 10.63% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2021.
IT jobs accounted for a 10.06% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2021, registering an increase of 0.72% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 61.54% in June 2021, a 5.88% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 15.38% in June 2021, marking a 33.33% month-on-month an increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 7.69% in June 2021, a flat growth from May 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 13.04% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s power industry during June 2021 over previous month.
Luz Del Sur SAA posted 10 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a an increase of 25% over the previous month, followed by Schneider Electric with 4 jobs and a 42.86% drop. Siemens with 3 IT jobs and Vestas Wind Systems with 2 jobs, recorded a 40% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Xylem recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during June 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s power industry
Democratic Republic of the Congo commanded a leading presence in the region’s power industry IT hiring activity with a 26.92% share in June 2021, a 16.67% rise over May 2021. Israel featured next with an 11.54% share, up 200% over the previous month. South Africa recorded an 11.54% share, a flat growth compared with May 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.54%, down by 20% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 19.23% share, a growth of 25% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 15.38% share, up 300% over May 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 3.85%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
