Spain’s power industry registered a 14.7% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 2.58% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 11.5% share in August 2021, recording an increase of 1.79% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Spain’s power industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 105.26% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s power industry in August 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 61.4% in August 2021, registering a 16.67% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer Support Specialists claimed a 21.05% share, an increase of 300% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 8.77%, registering a 28.57% decline from July 2021.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 7.02%, down 50% over the previous month.
Top five power companies in Spain’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 12.5% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s power industry during August 2021 over July 2021.
Siemens posted 16 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a drop of 27.27% over the previous month, followed by Senvion with 12 jobs and a 36.84% drop. Companhia de Transmissao de Energia Eletrica Paulista with 9 IT jobs and Enel with 6 jobs, recorded a 350% flat growth and a 14.29% decrease, respectively, while Nordex recorded a flat growth with 6 job postings during August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.46%, up by 34.29% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with an 8.77% share, registered a decline of 79.17% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.77% share, up 66.67% over July 2021.
