Description

The project is being developed by Atlantic International Holding, Lekela Power, NEK Umwelttechnik and Upwind Ayitepa. The project is currently owned by Lekela Power with a stake of 100%.

The project is expected to generate 700,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 150,000 households. The project is expected to offset 250,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The wind power project consists of 75 turbines.

The project will have 140m high towers.

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Electricity Company of Ghana under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 225MW.
