Description
The project was developed by Clenergy International, Fotowatio Renewable Ventures and Infinergy Pacific. Abdul Latif Jameel Energy and Environmental Services and OMERS Infrastructure Management are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.
Metz Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 248 hectares.
The project generates 320,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 40,000 households, offsetting 288,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The project consists of 400,000 modules.
Development status
The project got commissioned in April 2022.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Snowy Hydro under a power purchase agreement from 2022. The contracted capacity is 115MW.
Contractors involved
Energy Solutions was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.
The inverters were procured from SMA Solar Technology for the project.
The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by NEXTracker.
