Description

The project is being developed by Akita Yurihonjo Offshore Wind GK. The project is co-owned by Cosmo Eco Power, JR-East Energy Development, Renova and Tohoku Electric Power, with their respective ownership stake of 25% each. The project will be spread over an area of 139km². The turbines will be mounted on fixed monopile foundations.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2025. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2028.

Contractors involved

Kajima is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Vestas Offshore Wind will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project.
