The value marked a decrease of 10.5% over the previous month of $4.01bn and a drop of 37.9% when compared with the last 12-month average of $5.78bn.

In terms of number of cross border deals, the sector saw a rise of 8.62% with 63 deals in March 2021 when compared to the last 12-month average of 58 deals.

In value terms, Europe led the activity with cross border deals worth $3.5bn in March 2021.
