The value marked an increase of 218.2% over the previous quarter and a rise of 472.4% when compared with the last four-quarter average of $1.99bn.

The UK held a 30.23% share of the global power industry M&A deal value that totalled $37.68bn in Q1 2021.

In terms of deal activity, the UK recorded 45 M&A deals during Q1 2021, marking an increase of 60.71% over the previous quarter and a rise of 87.50% over the last four-quarter average.
