North America extended its dominance for robotics hiring among power industry companies in the three months ending December. The number of roles in North America made up 58.2% of total robotics jobs – up from 44.3% in the same quarter in 2020.
That was followed by South & Central America, which saw a 6.3 year-on-year percentage point change in robotics roles.

The fastest growing country was Mexico, which saw 1% of all robotics job adverts in the three months ending December 2020, increasing to 9% in the three months ending December. That was followed by Chile (up 6.3 percentage points), the US (up 4.2), and India (up 2.6).
The top country for robotics roles in the power industry is the US, which saw 46.6% of all roles advertised in the three months ending December.
Which cities are the biggest hubs for robotics workers in the power industry?
Some 4.9% of all power industry robotics roles were advertised in Santiago (Chile) in the three months ending December – more than any other city.
That was followed by Mexico City (Mexico) with 4.9%, Shanghai (China) with 3.2%, and Centralia (US) with 3%.
