Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 52.99% in July 2022, a 12.68% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 25.07% in July 2022, marking a 1.15% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 10.54% in July 2022, a 32.73% drop from June 2022.

Top five power companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 26.51% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s power industry during July 2022 over previous month.
Siemens posted 112 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a decline of 33.33% over the previous month, followed by Vestas Wind Systems with 66 jobs and a 46.67% growth. Clearway Energy with 15 IT jobs and Element Labs with 13 jobs, recorded a 28.57% drop and a 160% rise, respectively, while Schneider Electric recorded a 77.97% decline with 13 job postings during July 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s power industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s power industry IT hiring activity with a 52.42% share in July 2022, a 32.1% decrease over June 2022. Australia featured next with a 13.96% share, up 16.67% over the previous month. Philippines recorded a 13.39% share, a growth of 62.07% compared with June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.96%, down by 2.64% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 28.77% share, registered a decline of 26.81% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.98% share, down 39.13% over June 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.28%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
