The industry’s overall hiring increased by 13.63% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 16.99% share in February 2022, recording a decrease of 0.63% over the last three-month average share.

Top five power companies in Australia’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 3.03% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s power industry during February 2022 over January 2022.

Snowy Hydro posted 46 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a drop of 6.12% over the previous month, followed by Origin Energy with 6 jobs and a 25% drop. Siemens with 6 IT jobs and CLP Holdings with 6 jobs, recorded a 20% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while AGL Energy recorded a flat growth with 4 job postings during February 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 91.4%, up by 226.92% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 4.3% share, registered an increase of 100% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 4.3% share, down 91.49% over January 2022.
