The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.23% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.5% share in August 2022, recording a decrease of 1.85% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 12.5% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Belgium’s power industry during August 2022 over July 2022.

Umicore posted 56 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a drop of 15.15% over the previous month, followed by John Cockerill Group with 3 jobs and a flat growth. Element Labs with 2 IT jobs and Electricite de France with 1 jobs, recorded a 60% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Schneider Electric recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during August 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.44%, down by 16.07% from July 2022. Entry Level positions with a 26.56% share, registered a decline of 22.73% compared with the previous month.
