Belgium’s power industry registered a 9.3% drop in IT hiring activity in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 10.39% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.03% share in October 2022, recording a decrease of 0.27% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Belgium’s power industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Belgium’s power industry in October 2022.
1) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations recorded a share of 32.23% in October 2022, registering a 34.48% growth over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 29.75% share, a decrease of 16.28% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 28.1%, registering a 12.82% decline from September 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 9.92%, down 33.33% over the previous month.
Top five power companies in Belgium’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Belgium’s power industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
Umicore posted 118 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a drop of 1.67% over the previous month, followed by Element Labs with 1 job and an 85.71% drop. Electricite de France with 1 IT job and Siemens with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 50% decrease.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.07%, down by 9.47% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 20.66% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 8.26% share, up 11.11% over September 2022.
