Belgium’s power industry registered a 20.2% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 31.38% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.96% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 1.77% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Belgium’s power industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Belgium’s power industry in September 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 33.33% in September 2022, registering a 43.33% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 30.23% share, an increase of 56% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 22.48%, registering a 61.11% rise from August 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 13.95%, up 100% over the previous month.

Top five power companies in Belgium’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Belgium’s power industry during September 2022 over August 2022.

Umicore posted 120 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 66.67% over the previous month, followed by Element Labs with 7 jobs and a 133.33% growth. Siemens with 2 IT jobs, recorded a flat growth.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.64%, up by 55.74% from August 2022. Entry Level positions with a 19.38% share, registered an increase of 19.05% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 6.98% share, up 800% over August 2022.
