Belgium’s power industry registered a 42.1% rise in IT hiring activity in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 86.32% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 7.82% share in April 2022, recording a decrease of 1% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Belgium’s power industry’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.88% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Belgium’s power industry in April 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 61.8% in April 2022, registering a 161.9% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 19.1% share, an increase of 183.33% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 10.11%, registering a 350% rise from March 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 5.62%, up 150% over the previous month.
Top five power companies in Belgium’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 193.1% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Belgium’s power industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
Umicore posted 73 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 386.67% over the previous month, followed by Element Labs with 7 jobs and a 41.67% drop. Siemens with 2 IT jobs and Engie with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Parkwind recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.54%, up by 177.27% from March 2022. Entry Level positions with a 25.84% share, registered an increase of 283.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 5.62% share, up 66.67% over March 2022.
