Belgium’s power industry registered a 72.8% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 174.23% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.36% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 1.99% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Belgium’s power industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Belgium’s power industry in July 2022.

1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 33.75% in July 2022, registering a 575% growth over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 28.75% share, an increase of 666.67% over the previous month.

3) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers held a share of 25%, registering a 300% rise from June 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 12.5%, flat growth over the previous month.

Top five power companies in Belgium’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 3650% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Belgium’s power industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

Umicore posted 66 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Element Labs with 5 jobs and a 150% growth. Engie with 2 IT jobs and Centrica with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Parkwind recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 70%, up by 522.22% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 27.5% share, registered an increase of 1000% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 2.5% share, down 33.33% over June 2022.
