China’s power industry IT recruitment activity rises 3.8% in September 2021

China’s power industry registered a 3.8% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0.31% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 11.28% share in September 2021, recording an increase of 1.28% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in China’s power industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s power industry in September 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 85.71% in September 2021, registering a 31.43% decline over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a 7.14% share, a flat growth over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 7.14%, registering a 100% rise from August 2021.

Top five power companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 38.64% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s power industry during September 2021 over August 2021.

Siemens posted 17 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a drop of 45.16% over the previous month, followed by Umicore with 7 jobs and a flat growth. Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology with 1 IT job and Schneider Electric with 1 jobs, recorded an 80% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Ming Yang Smart Energy Group recorded a decline of 87.5% with 1 job postings during September 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 53.57%, down by 64.29% from August 2021. Entry Level positions with a 28.57% share, registered an increase of 300% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 17.86% share, down 16.67% over August 2021.
