July 2022 has seen an increase of 13.26% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2022.
IT jobs accounted for an 8.94% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2022, registering an increase of 0.09% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 41.4% in July 2022, a 22.73% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 29.03% in July 2022, marking a 54.97% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 13.03% in July 2022, a 46.91% rise from June 2022.

Top five power companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 39.13% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s power industry during July 2022 over previous month.
Vestas Wind Systems posted 111 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered an increase of 48% over the previous month, followed by Siemens with 111 jobs and a 28.85% drop. Electricite de France with 109 IT jobs and Umicore with 66 jobs, recorded a 5350% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while National Grid recorded a 42.7% decline with 51 job postings during July 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s power industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s power industry IT hiring activity with a 22.02% share in July 2022, a 20.36% increase over June 2022. Germany featured next with a 17.74% share, up 23.66% over the previous month. France recorded a 17.09% share, a growth of 345.71% compared with June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.29%, up by 47.98% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.77% share, registered a growth of 15.2% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.83% share, up 0.93% over June 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.11%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
