France’s power industry IT recruitment activity rises 37.9% in July 2022

France’s power industry registered a 37.9% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 16.43% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.42% share in July 2022, recording an increase of 0.87% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in France’s power industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s power industry in July 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 44.58% in July 2022, registering a 640% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 27.71% share, an increase of 475% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 16.87%, registering a 1300% rise from June 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 7.23%, down 20% over the previous month.

Top five power companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 511.11% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s power industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

Electricite de France posted 118 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a rise of 11700% over the previous month, followed by Engie with 34 jobs and a flat growth. Siemens with 8 IT jobs and The ERM Group with 3 jobs, recorded a 68% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Enphase Energy recorded an increase of 100% with 2 job postings during July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.3%, up by 346.43% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.66% share, registered an increase of 2500% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.04% share, up 150% over June 2022.
