India’s power industry registered a 13.4% drop in IT hiring activity in November 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 14.4% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.
Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 26.43% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 0.25% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India’s power industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.46% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s power industry in November 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 67.03% in November 2022, registering a 12.06% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 17.3% share, a decrease of 25.58% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 7.03%, registering an 18.75% decline from October 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 5.95%, down 35.29% over the previous month.
Top five power companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 9.09% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s power industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
Siemens posted 101 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 1.94% over the previous month, followed by Schneider Electric with 27 jobs and a 49.06% drop. Siemens Energy with 15 IT jobs and Vestas Wind Systems with 11 jobs, recorded a 200% growth and a 10% growth, respectively, while SolarEdge Technologies recorded an increase of 20% with 6 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 55.14%, down by 13.56% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 36.22% share, registered a decline of 23.86% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.11% share, flat growth over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.54%, recording a month-on-month decline of 88.89%.
