India’s power industry registered a 4.9% rise in IT hiring activity in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 5.37% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 35.8% share in April 2022, recording a decrease of 1.7% over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.66% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s power industry in April 2022.

Top five power companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 1.61% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s power industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
Siemens posted 167 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 9.15% over the previous month, followed by Schneider Electric with 57 jobs and a 12.31% drop. Vestas Wind Systems with 11 IT jobs and Enphase Energy with 10 jobs, recorded a 10% flat growth and a 28.57% decrease, respectively, while Axpo recorded an increase of 14.29% with 8 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.9%, down by 1.71% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 31.16% share, registered a decline of 22.22% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.93% share, down 14.71% over March 2022.
