Italy’s power industry registered a 9.1% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 21.45% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 11.78% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 1.06% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Italy’s power industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Italy’s power industry in September 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 60% in September 2022, registering a 25% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 18% share, an increase of 800% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 14%, registering a 133.33% rise from August 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 6%, up 200% over the previous month.

Top five power companies in Italy’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 69.23% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Italy’s power industry during September 2022 over August 2022.

Hitachi Zosen Inova posted 16 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a drop of 11.11% over the previous month, followed by Elektroprivreda Crne GoreNiksic with 10 jobs and a flat growth. Enel with 10 IT jobs and Siemens with 4 jobs, recorded a 233.33% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while A2A recorded an increase of 300% with 4 job postings during September 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 86%, up by 59.26% from August 2022. Entry Level positions with an 8% share, registered an increase of 100% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 6% share, up 200% over August 2022.
