Philippines’s power industry IT recruitment activity rises 4.8% in March 2022

Philippines power industry registered a 4.8% rise in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 7.3% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 12.2% share in March 2022, recording an increase of 2.51% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Philippines power industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Philippines power industry in March 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 54.17% in March 2022, registering a 62.5% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 20.83% share, an increase of 400% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 12.5%, registering a 40% decline from February 2022.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 8.33%, down 66.67% over the previous month.

Top five power companies in Philippines IT recruitment activity in March 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 15.15% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Philippines power industry during March 2022 over February 2022.

Vestas Wind Systems posted 16 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a rise of 45.45% over the previous month, followed by Vestas Wind Systems with 16 jobs and a 45.45% growth. Schneider Electric with 4 IT jobs and First Gen with 1 jobs, recorded a 63.64% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Clearway Energy recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during March 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.83%, up by 21.43% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20.83% share, registered an increase of 400% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.33% share, down 71.43% over February 2022.
