The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 2.27% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 18.8% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 1.53% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 16.67% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Portugal’s power industry during November 2022 over October 2022.

Siemens posted 9 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 50% over the previous month, followed by Vestas Wind Systems with 7 jobs and a 75% growth. Energias de Portugal with 6 IT jobs and Nordex with 5 jobs, recorded a 33.33% decline and a 25% growth, respectively, while Siemens Energy recorded an increase of 200% with 3 job postings during November 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.29%, down by 13.64% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.35% share, registered a decline of 25% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 19.35% share, down 14.29% over October 2022.
