The industry’s overall hiring increased by 14.14% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 21.72% share in October 2021, recording an increase of 0.26% over the last three-month average share.

Top five power companies in Portugal’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 37.04% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Portugal’s power industry during October 2021 over September 2021.

Vestas Wind Systems posted 21 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a rise of 16.67% over the previous month, followed by Energias de Portugal with 7 jobs and a 133.33% growth. Siemens with 5 IT jobs and Senvion with 2 jobs, recorded a 25% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Nordex recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during October 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.38%, up by 52.63% from September 2021. Entry Level positions with a 13.51% share, registered an increase of 25% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 8.11% share, down 25% over September 2021.
