Germany-based company Siemens IT hiring declined 1.7% in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 1.32% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.
IT jobs claimed an 18.51% share in the company’s total hiring activity in February 2022, and recorded a 0.12% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Siemens IT hiring in February 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Siemens, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 71.9% in February 2022, and a 45.73% drop over January 2022, while Computer Support Specialists claimed a share of 8.39% in February 2022, and registered a decline of 29.23%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 8.03% in February 2022, a 51.65% drop from January 2022.
Europe drives IT hiring at Siemens
Europe emerged as the leading region in the global power IT hiring activity in February 2022 with a 38.69% share, which marked a 32.48% drop over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 36.68%, registering a 49.5% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 22.81% share and a 50% drop over January 2022.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 1.46% and a month-on-month flat growth. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.36%, registering a 66.67% drop over the previous month.
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s power industry IT hiring activity with a 30.11% share in February 2022, a 47.62% decline over January 2022. US featured next with a 21.72% share, down 48.93% over the previous month. Germany recorded a 15.33% share, a decline of 31.71% compared with January 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Siemens IT hiring activity in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.23%, down by 40.59% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.17% share, a decline of 56.88% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 16.61% share, down 30.53% over January 2022.
