Spain’s power industry registered a 19.9% rise in IT hiring activity in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 8.4% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 12.1% share in February 2022, recording an increase of 1.52% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 62.5% in February 2022, registering a 14.29% growth over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 23.44% share, an increase of 200% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 9.38%, registering a 25% decline from January 2022.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 3.13%, up 100% over the previous month.

Top five power companies in Spain’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 44.19% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s power industry during February 2022 over January 2022.

Siemens posted 25 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a rise of 47.06% over the previous month, followed by Enel with 23 jobs and a 155.56% growth. Senvion with 8 IT jobs and Nordex with 5 jobs, recorded a 33.33% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Northland Power recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during February 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.56%, up by 22.5% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.63% share, registered an increase of 66.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.81% share, down 16.67% over January 2022.
