Spain’s power industry registered a 5.8% rise in IT hiring activity in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 11.86% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.39% share in October 2022, recording an increase of 0.09% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Spain’s power industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s power industry in October 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 63.89% in October 2022, registering a 17.86% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 19.44% share, a flat growth over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 8.33%, registering a 25% decline from September 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 5.56%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five power companies in Spain’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 8.11% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s power industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
Enel posted 16 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a drop of 27.27% over the previous month, followed by Siemens with 9 jobs and a 12.5% growth. Schneider Electric with 4 IT jobs and Nordex with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 50% growth, respectively, while Holaluz Clidom recorded a decline of 60% with 2 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.78%, down by 9.68% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with an 11.11% share, registered a decline of 69.23% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 11.11% share, down 20% over September 2022.
