Switzerland’s power industry IT recruitment activity rises 15.0% in March 2022

Switzerland’s power industry registered a 15.0% rise in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 5.17% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 14.19% share in March 2022, recording an increase of 1.86% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Switzerland’s power industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 106.82% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s power industry in March 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 84.09% in March 2022, registering a 54.17% growth over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 13.64% share, an increase of 200% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 6.82%, registering a 50% decline from February 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 2.27%, flat growth over the previous month.

Top five power companies in Switzerland’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 33.33% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s power industry during March 2022 over February 2022.

Landis+Gyr Group posted 25 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Axpo with 10 jobs and a 16.67% drop. Siemens with 4 IT jobs and BKW with 4 jobs, recorded a 33.33% decline and a 60% decrease, respectively, while Alpiq recorded a decline of 80% with 1 job postings during March 2022.

Mid Level job postings dominate in March 2022

Mid Level jobs held a share of 56.82%, up by 257.14% from February 2022. Junior Level positions with a 43.18% share, registered a decline of 29.63% compared with the previous month.
