The ERM Group’s IT hiring activity rises 8.7% in February 2022

US-based company The ERM Group’s IT hiring rose 8.7% in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 1.76% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 10.18% share in the company’s total hiring activity in February 2022, and recorded a 1.46% growth over the last three-month average share.

Database and Network Administrators and Architects tops The ERM Group IT hiring in February 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by The ERM Group, Database and Network Administrators and Architects emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 64% in February 2022, and a 33.33% rise over January 2022, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 20% in February 2022, and registered growth of 150%. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers held a share of 8% in February 2022, a 71.43% drop from January 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at The ERM Group

North America emerged as the leading region in the global power IT hiring activity in February 2022 with a 40% share, which marked a 44.44% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 32%, registering a 33.33% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 24% share and a 20% rise over January 2022.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 4% and a month-on-month flat growth.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s power industry IT hiring activity with a 32% share in February 2022, a 52.94% decline over January 2022. The UK featured next with a 24% share, up 20% over the previous month. Canada recorded an 8% share, an increase of 100% compared with January 2022.

Senior jobs lead The ERM Group IT hiring activity in February 2022

Senior jobs held a share of 52%, up by 8.33% from January 2022. Junior Level positions with a 36% share, a growth of 80% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 8% share, down 50% over January 2022, while Entry Level postings accounted for 4%, recording a month-on-month decline of 87.5%.
