Top five power companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 29.87% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s power industry during September 2022 over August 2022.

National Grid posted 36 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 9.09% over the previous month, followed by SSE with 34 jobs and a 25.93% growth. SSE Renewables Walney (UK) with 13 IT jobs and Siemens with 9 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 12.5% growth, respectively, while Iberdrola recorded a decline of 11.11% with 8 job postings during September 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.81%, up by 28.09% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.88% share, registered an increase of 3.23% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.45% share, down 33.33% over August 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.86%, recording a month-on-month increase of 200%.
