The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 16.52% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.
Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.17% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 0.01% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the UK’s power industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 95.7% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s power industry in November 2022.
1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 31.18% in November 2022, registering a 21.62% decline over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 21.51% share, a decrease of 64.29% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 15.05%, registering a 33.33% decline from October 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 15.05%, down 22.22% over the previous month.
Top five power companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 6.56% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s power industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
National Grid posted 16 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 55.56% over the previous month, followed by Siemens with 13 jobs and an 8.33% growth. Iberdrola with 11 IT jobs and Elektro Eletricidade E Servicos with 11 jobs, recorded a 175% growth and a 175% growth, respectively, while Centrica recorded an increase of 20% with 6 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.97%, down by 36.54% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.35% share, registered a decline of 21.74% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.53% share, down 68.18% over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2.15%, recording a month-on-month increase of 100%.
