Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.61% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 0.37% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 37.12% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s power industry during November 2022 over October 2022.

NextEra Energy posted 134 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a rise of 4.69% over the previous month, followed by Advanced Energy Industries with 93 jobs and a 3000% growth. Siemens with 70 IT jobs and Sunrun with 70 jobs, recorded a 40% growth and a 2.78% decrease, respectively, while Exelon recorded a decline of 6.52% with 43 job postings during November 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 45.1%, down by 35.42% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 31.04% share, registered a decline of 3.9% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 23.47% share, down 20.13% over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.39%, recording a month-on-month decline of 63.64%.
