Description

The project is currently owned by Iran Power Development.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Gas Oil.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in March 2003.

Abadan Combined Cycle Power Plant (Abadan Combined Cycle Power Plant Block I Unit I) is equipped with GE Power PG9161-E gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 123.4MW nameplate capacity.

Abadan Combined Cycle Power Plant (Abadan Combined Cycle Power Plant Block I Unit II) is equipped with GE Power PG9161-E gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 123.4MW nameplate capacity.

Abadan Combined Cycle Power Plant (Abadan Combined Cycle Power Plant Block I Unit III) is equipped with MAPNA Turbine Engineering & Manufacturing steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 160MW nameplate capacity.

Abadan Combined Cycle Power Plant (Abadan Combined Cycle Power Plant Block II Unit I) is equipped with GE Power PG9161-E gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 123.4MW nameplate capacity.
