Aboadze – Prestea – Kumasi Line, Ghana

Aboadze – Prestea – Kumasi Line is a 330kV overhead line from Aboadze, Western Region, Ghana, to Kumasi, Ashanti, Ghana.

The project, which is currently under construction, is expected to be commissioned in 2021.


Aboadze – Prestea – Kumasi Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Ghana Grid. The line will carry alternating current (AC).

The development of the Aboadze – Prestea – Kumasi Line project has been approved by the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ghana.

The construction works on the Aboadze – Prestea – Kumasi Line project were commenced in 2019 and commissioning is expected in 2021.
