Abu Dhabi – Al Quram Line is a 400kV overhead line from Abu Dhabi, Eastern region, United Arab Emirates, to Al Quram, Eastern region, United Arab Emirates.

The project, which is currently in the planning stage, is expected to be commissioned in 2022.

Description

Abu Dhabi – Al Quram Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Abu Dhabi Transmission and Dispatch. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.

The construction works on the Abu Dhabi – Al Quram Line project will be commenced in 2021 and commissioning is expected in 2022.

Abu Dhabi Transmission and Dispatch Company (TRANSCO), a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority, is a utility service provider that distributes electricity and water. The utility’s activities include planning, construction, development, operation and maintenance of electricity transmission and bulk water transmission networks. Its activities also comprises servicing for water and electricity transmission; and building the infrastructure for services. TRANSCO offers transmission of water and electricity from producers to the distribution networks. The utility operates its water and electricity transmission assets across the northern and western UAE.
