Description
The project was developed by Enviromena Power Systems and TSK Electronica y Electricidad. The project is currently owned by Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Jordan.
Al Qweira Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 3 km².
The project generates 227GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 50,000 households, offsetting 148,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $150m.

Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Jordan under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years. The contracted capacity is 103MW.
Contractors Involved
Enviromena Power Systems and TSK Electronica y Electricidad were selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
Jinko Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 328,320 modules each with 315W of nameplate capacity.
Ingeteam Australia supplied 38 inverters to the project site.
The project is utilising horizontal single axis trackers supplied by IdeemaTec Deutschland.
Enviromena Power Systems and TSK Electronica y Electricidad were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
