The project is developed and owned by New Energy Options Geracao de Energia. The company has a stake of 100%.
The project generates 492,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 200,000 households, offsetting 120,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
Contractors Involved
Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 92 units of V82-1.65 MW turbines, each with 1.65MW nameplate capacity.
