The Alexandroupoli Combined Cycle Power Plant is 800MW gas fired power project. It is planned in East Macedonia and Thrace, Greece. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2021 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2023.

Description
The project is being developed by Alexandroupolis Electricity Production. Damco Energy and Elektrani na Severna Makedonija are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 75% and 25% respectively.
It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The fuel will be procured from Alexandroupolis LNG terminal.
The project cost is expected to be around $446.7m.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.
