The project is currently owned by Elektrik Uretim with a stake of 100%.

It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel. The fuel is procured from Adjacent BOTAS terminal.

The project generated 7,317,000MWh of electricity.

The project got commissioned in August 1988.

Siemens was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The Gas fired project consists of 3 steam turbines.

AE&E CZ supplied steam boiler for the project.
