Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in February 2021 with 36 contracts and a 33% share, followed by Electricity Procurement with 26 contracts and a 23.9% share and Generation Equipment with 24 contracts and a 22% share during the month.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Power Purchase Agreement: 24 contracts and a 92.3% share
- Electricity Supply: two contracts and a 7.7% share.
Solar is top technology for Asia-Pacific electricity procurement contracts in February 2021
Looking at electricity procurement contracts by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, solar accounted for 23 contracts with an 85.2% share, followed by thermal with two contracts and a 7.4% share and wind with one contract and a 3.7% share.
